Hi Heather and Katie,

I have never twittered so it was interesting to see that people have comments about anything and everything.

The library twitters posted lots of activities that were happening at the library from programs to the opening of the new park at Memorial Park library.

I think the library twitters are on the right track and they could post some new books, DVD's and Cd's that we have ordered with maybe a bit of book or movie review.

Library Thing

I did enjoy perusing and browsing in Library Thing. I particularly liked the Talk Forum to read about people's opinions on different books. I think it was fairly easy to use and it was set up simply and the tour gave a good explanation about the site.

Hi Katie and Heather,

I could not see myself using these tools as I like to use more traditional methods like my wall calendar and daytimer. Also, most cell phones have calendars and notes in them that I would probably use over Google.

If I were to use one of the tools it would probably be the Yahoo calendar as weather updates are available, the latest in sports and entertainment are available and there is free pop up blocker.

Flickr and Youtube

Hi Katie and Heather,

I have watched videos on youtube previously and it is entertaining and fun to do. It is easy to use but I rarely use it.

I had never heard of Flickr before so it was good to find out what it is all about. I would not find it user friendly myself as I have never downloaded pictures before. I am sure that photo savvy users would probably find it easy to use.

I was able to set up an account and it was easy to do.

I can see how a person would like this feature if they used a particular website requently and they wanted all the latest info. It would be a time saver.

Google Product Review

Hi Heather and Katie,

My husband has to work in Santiago, Chile for the next 3 months to help with Insurance claims for the earthquake that hit there earlier this year. I saw google had a translation product that will translate instantly whatever you type in the box. I will recommend this tool to my husband when he goes to Chile as he speaks no Spanish. It is a good and helpful product that Google offers.

Facebook assignment

Hi Katie and Heather,

I am not a Facebook user as I really don't enjoy spending a lot of time on the computer. I prefer to call my friends on the phone and book a coffee or a lunch date and chat face to face.

It was interesting though to see what it was all about and I do enjoy when my kids tell me what is happening with relatives from afar when they go on their personal facebook accounts.
